INDISPENSABLE: DECISIVE ORGANIZER WITH GREAT COMMUNICATION SKILLS

8:45 A.M: You receive a phone call: technical adjustments to be made on a loading solution which our client, a major international storage company recently acquired.

You immediately take ownership. You plan a meeting with Engineering. How can the necessary changes be realized? You walk over to the dedicated sales engineer and discuss negotiating additional costs. In the meantime, you keep the customer informed. Your line of communication with manufacturing and purchasing is short, because you want to ensure that the delivery deadline is met.

What will your job as a Project Manager for Kanon entail?

1. From A-Z: you make sure all projects within your scope run smoothly, according to the technical and budgetary planning and specification. You are dealing with elaborate, multi-faceted projects in a dynamic technical environment. This requires you to keep in constant communication with clients, contractors as well as in-company stake-holders.

2. Using your great organizational skills, you continuously monitor planning. Making necessary adjustments while keeping a result-driven, birds eye view. You are passionate about contributing to the top-level quality that our clients have come to expect.

3. The scope of work is dynamic, no project is the same. This diversity makes the job challenging yet exciting. You initiate timely project meetings. Communicating pro-actively to help clarify technical drawings and other information related to the project is also a daily routine.

How do your skills match what we are looking for in a project manager?

– You use your great organizational abilities effectively. You are keenly aware of the fact that an excellent customer experience is key in creating long-term partnerships.

– Are you able to keep your cool in any situation? We are looking for a decisive and persuasive communicator who knows how to rise to the challenge.

– You know how to evaluate and act on INCOTERMS because you have worked in an international business environment, dealing with logistics.
It also checks one of our boxes if you are experienced in utilizing logistics systems in a project-based work environment.

– Your inventiveness and analytical thinking is greatly appreciated in situations such as where additional prices and performances must be negotiated with suppliers and customers. You have a talent to keep project finances in check by monitoring budgets, and negotiating payment terms is part of your work experience.

– You are HBO (Bachelor) level educated, preferably specializing in WTB (Mechanical Engineering). But we also accept candidates with a specialization in automotive, supplemented by relevant work experience.

– We consider it a plus if you have knowledge of the legalities and health and safety regulations regarding working with hazardous substances.
